I have a passion for helping, and my favorite work is to assist my clients; to listen, to understand, to try solutions and to patiently and creatively find answers to household challenges – from the simply annoying to the downright terrifying.
I call myself the Compassionate Organizer because most of the issues you are facing I’ve faced as well. I’ve Been There and Done That, and after a decade and a half of working with clients, I have a pretty full bag of tricks. Let’s work together to make your life simpler and more manageable!
My business was previously based in Arizona. Now I am in the northwest corner of Connecticut, assisting clients in the NW corner, the Berkshires, eastern NY state and the Hudson Valley, and New York City.
Here’s my formal biography:
Cindy Rhys is a Professional Move Facilitator and Household Organizer. She received her certification in Move Management from Smooth Transitions ™ in 2007, and also completed training from Exit Stage Right ™ in Estate Documentation (the organizing of crucial documents for clients and their households.)
Since 2007 when she started her business On the Move Consultants, LLC, Cindy has helped dozens of clients make household transitions; in the Berkshires of Massachusetts, in Arizona, and most recently in NYC and the Tri-state area. She is experienced in handling everything from small ‘across town’ moves to cross-country moves between metropolitan areas, as well as large estates with downsizing challenges.
Cindy is a Golden Circle Member of the National Association of Professional Organizers and served for three years on the Board of the Arizona Chapter of NAPO, receiving their Founders Award in 2012. She was previously a member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers and also a founding member of the Arizona Association of Senior Relocation Specialists.

Letter to the National Association of Senior Move Managers:
“We would like to share the wonderful experiences we had this past year…moving!! Not many people can say that I’m sure, and it was all due to the efforts of Cynthia Rhys. We were in North Carolina last summer when we decided to put our home in Scottsdale, Arizona on the market.
Preparing a house for sale from across the country seemed like a daunting task, but Cindy made it effortless (for us, at least) and painless. She arranged for an Inspection of the property, made arrangements with a contractor to correct all faults that were listed in the report, and then had the property appraised and readied for sale…all before we returned from North Carolina!
Our new house was just about ready to move into at that time and Cindy was a wealth of information re: movers, storage options, packing, storing and “disposal” of “stuff”. When our house sold in just three days, a most pleasant surprise, she contracted a mover, on SHORT notice, for the day after Christmas.
Needless to say, we would, and did, trust life, limb and all our earthly possessions to her very professional care. Can’t wait for the next move…as long as she handles it!”
